Benefits for Switching to VoIP

Discover the Benefits for Switching to a VoIP Business Phone System

The way we communicate with others is always improving, not just for the average consumer, but for small business owners. Business owners are taking calls from customers on their laptops at coffee shops, listening to their voicemails from their computers, and their business phones are forwarding calls to their mobile phone, when out of the office. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is how they make these functionalities possible and small businesses need to hop on board.On-the-Go-Mobile

VoIP has made some serious strives in the business world, but some small businesses are still considering if they should ditch their current landline provider. In 2005 and prior, findings suggested that VoIP services were not as reliable as landlines and have unsatisfactory voice quality. Since then though, technology has advanced because of the high internet speed connections. Today’s VoIP service quality, greatly exceeds that of the traditional landline-based business phone systems.

Hardware & Software

VoIP service companies are providing hardware that is internet protocol ready, which tremendously increases the voice quality. These phones can also be connected to your smartphone, laptop, and desktop. Desktops and mobile phones also have the ability to control all their features and capabilities in their Hosted backend portals. Leaving companies to be more independent on how they can control their phones and the ability to add extensions and so on, eliminating the dependency of the “Phone Guy”.

Cost

VoIP business phone systems can significantly reduce a company’s telecommunications costs. Since there are multiple VoIP providers, the cost has become inexpensive, in addition the technology has helped lower the price. Keep in mind that when you are looking for a service provider, pay for what you need and not a cent more. Most VoIP providers price by phone or user, but companies end up paying for more lines that are never utilized. Paying by line is fair and more customizable towards businesses everywhere.

A small business that is expanding is a sign of growth and success. However, moving or expanding a traditional phone system to a new location can be costly which can make the expansion difficult. VoIP services solves these types of issues. Just connect the phone into your high speed internet network in your new building, plug the phones in, and you’re ready to go, simple. You can even have all your locations on one single phone bill.

Productivity

VoIP phone systems can be configured to ring at once on many devices. They can even be configured by the number of rings so that an incoming call first goes to the business phone, but after a couple of rings will be transferred to a mobile phone. Say goodbye to phone tag. Making you more available and staying connected with your clients. This also takes care of the fear that your business may lose its entire phone system if the computer or internet goes down, because having the calls forwarded to your mobile device or a landline, solves the issue immediately.

What All Do I Get? Call Waiting, Forwarding, and more!

without comments

If you are new to VOIP services, or have only ever had one traditional phone line from the ol’ phone company, you may be new to the call waiting and call forwarding features our network has to offer. With easily accessible, entirely customizable, options, you wont ever miss another call again! (That is, unless you really want to)
Our call waiting service allows you to talk on the phone to anyone, anywhere, while still leaving yourself open to incoming calls. You don’t have to leave the phone line open anymore when you’re expecting an important call! Just simply have a normal conversation and when that important call comes through, a beep from the system will alert you. You can either put your current call on hold or politely hang up to answer the new call.

Can’t be at home for that important call? No problem! Just log into our online voicemail system and enable call forwarding. There are three different options: Unconditional Call Forwarding sends every incoming call to another number such as a cell phone or another home you are staying. You can even forward calls from home to your office! It’s really that simple! Busy Call Forwarding sends incoming calls to an alternative number only when you’re currently on the phone. This is great if you’re expecting a call and someone else is tying up your lines. Got a chatty teenager? Simply set your call forwarding to kick in when the line is tied up. Unavailable Call Forwarding is great, especially with unreliable Internet or poor weather conditions. Now if your adapter goes down, you wont miss a beat. Just set this to forward to your cell phone and you wont miss a minute of talk time.

These great features are convenient and easy to manage. Our voicemail system, including call waiting and forwarding options, is completely free to you as a customer. Don’t have another number to forward to? That’s perfectly okay, too! The general voicemail will always be active and ready to record all your important messages.

Access these features inside Voicemail at simplephoneco.com/voicemail 24/7.

Here at The Simple Phone Company, we want to keep things simple and reliable. Our Help Team is always here to assist with any questions you have about our many services. So go ahead! Start exploring all you can do with your Simple Phone Company service anytime.

Of course, if you have any trouble, let us know! We’re always excited and happy to help.

Did You Say Free 411?!

without comments

At the Simple Phone Company, we’re often asked by prospective customers “so what all do I get?” It’s actually one of our most frequently asked questions at our Help Team phone center. So we’re starting a new blog series called “What All Do I Get?”, begining today! You can get more anytime by clicking the “What All Do I Get” category on the right side.
Our first feature is our free directory assistance! With the power of the internet, 411 seems like an ancient way of getting connected to nearby businesses and more. What’s even more ancient, is that the “big telephone companies” still charge $2 a call for something you can find in Google for free?!
Our directory assistance is free, free, and free. Not only is it free, did we say that enough times, but it also powered by Google! It’s a great way to not only get general information about nearby businesses, but we’ll also connect for- well– free. You get the point!
To use our directory assistance, just dial 411 from any Simple Phone Co. line, and we’ll connect you the best resource for local businesses for free. That simple.
